Who am I? 💡

My name is Thomas Nejtek (formerly Thomas Hruška) from Liberec and I am Automation specialist with IT overlap. I am dedicated to PLC programming, line activation and production data digitization. Thanks to my electrical qualification I can work independently.

Experiences

✅ I have been reviving machines and production lines for over 7 years. I have worked for suppliers of single-purpose machines and custom-made lines, which has given me a broad range of technologies. As an external specialist, I have implemented projects for significant Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive industry (production of components for e-mobility, brake and fuel systems, chassis parts or air conditioning).

✅ Thanks to my IT expertise, I can design a reliable infrastructure for data collection from machines and their visualization (e.g. using Docker containers). I connect industrial automation with modern data infrastructure.

Single-purpose machines

Programming and commissioning of stations for precise industrial operations – leak testers (Ateq), screwing units (Doga), lubrication stations, presses (Kistler), robotic manipulations or camera inspections (Keyence). I provide complete hardware integration, servo drives and frequency converters (Siemens, Schneider) including stable communication via Profinet, IO-Link, RS232/485, TCP/IP or Modbus. I deal with PLC logic (Siemens S7-1500 and Beckhoff), diagnostics, database connection and cycle optimization.

Production lines

Complete management and commissioning automotive production lines. I specialize in material flow control and integration of robotic workstations (Fanuc), including multiple servo axes and linear paths. I have experience with RFID tracking, multi-station testing (ATEQ), stamping technology and camera inspections. On projects I have worked as Team Lead – led the PLC team, solved HW/SW problems directly with foreign customers and ensured the handover of a fully functional line into serial production.

Apache Superset

Interactive production dashboard built in Apache Superset, which connects data from ERP, MES or Excel and clearly displays KPIs such as production volume, scrap rate, shift performance, Pareto analysis, machine comparison or OEE. The solution is built on open-source technologies (Python, SQL, Docker), runs locally without licensing fees and serves as a practical tool for quick and data-based decision-making in production.

Smart Energy Dashboard
ThingsBoard & Docker

Self-hosted energy dashboard industrial IoT platform ThingsBoard, running in Docker on a cloud server. Households send data in real time to the cloud, where it is processed and used for intelligent energy optimization and automated control heating, battery storage, photovoltaics and interaction with the energy distribution network.

Availability

Personal presence is necessary when starting and testing machines, therefore I travel for projects wherever needed. (the whole Czech Republic and abroad). However, I can effectively handle the software development phase, IoT integration and subsequent data management remotely, saving you time and costs.

Thanks to my certificate as a leading electrical engineer, I have full authorization to intervene in electrical equipment, diagnose it independently, and revive it.

I'm not just a PLC programmer, nor just an 'IT guy'. I also integrate Fanuc robots. I ensure a functional whole without the need to coordinate multiple suppliers.
